United for the second time this season, defeated Chelsea, but not 4-0 like the last time at Old Trafford, but a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge in a very entertaining match on Wednesday night in the Carabao cup.
Two goals from Rashford with an effort from Batshuayi sandwiched in between, was enough for Ole Gunnaer Solksjaer to claim 3 away wins on the roll, just weeks after his job was at rid following poor performances in the premier league.
Daniel James was brought down in the penalty box and Marcus slotted home the penalty to make it 1-0 in the first half.
In the second half, Michy Batshuayi scored after woeful defending from 80 million pounds defender Harry Maguire leaving the Stamford Bridge faithful dreaming of a come back and eventual winner but Rashford stunned the home fans with his superb free kick leaving Lampard’s men to lick their wounds and rue missed chances during the match.
