Ogun APC Candidate’s wife, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun has started her own house to house Campaign soliciting votes and support for her husband, Prince Dapo Abiodun running for the March 2 slated Governorship election.
The campaign trail of Mrs Abiodun stormed Iperu, Ilisan, Ikenne township today to consolidate on the engaging strategies of her husband, reaching out to the people massively towards having first hand interface to ascertain the needs of the electorate as the Governoship election draw close.
APC Candidate’s wife started the house to house campaign from her Tuwaye home town in Ilisan, where she was received by her family members at her Parents house. Accompanied by APC women leaders in Ogere, Ikenne and former Chairman of Sagamu local government, Mrs Funmilayo Efuwape, Mrs Abiodun first paid a Courtesy visit to the palace of Olofin of Ilisan Remo, Oba Michael Oluremi Sonuga for royal blessing before storming the street and communities for the campaign under Ikenne local government.
At the palace of Olofin of Ilisan, Council of Elders and Chiefs heeped praises on the incoming First lady of Ogun, she was described as a proud daughter of the soil whose parents are known for their social economic contribution to the development of Ilisan. “As daughter of Prof Oduwoye, she has proven to be a worthy ambassador of this town”, said, Chief Agbawoye.
In the words of Oba Olufemi Sonuga, Kabiesi assured her and her entourage of Ilisan support and vote. It is true that royal fathers are suppose to be neutral and independent of partisan politics but the struggle for the victory of Dapo Abiodun remains effectual and collective for Ilisan. We have gotten to the point of reaping all our sounding Prayers in this community and God has decided to favour us, by first producing the first lady in Ogun State.
All Ilisan Sons and daughters home and abroad, I beseech you all to go out massively. Go all out to market and tell our people that the entire Ilisan in Council has adopted Dapo Abiodun because we know under his leadership Ilisan will not be left out of the power rotation and consideration, Kabiesi concluded.
Mrs Abiodun left the Palace to meet market women and community elders in Ilisan and later to Ikenne township; but first, she stopped to canvassed motorcyclist and members of Road Transport Employee, urges them to support and vote her husband as Governor – assuring them of democratic dividends and new lease of life. She also butressed the need to vote APC and not any other party to safeguard development in Ogun State.
At the Illisan Market, she walked round to the rousy ovation and cheers of traders in the market, one of whom described the gesture to come see them as a reflection of enviable moral standards inculcated in her as trainings and essential virtues she inherited from her father. In the words of Alhaja Mulikat, she said, Bamidele didn’t forget her origin – she has come to us to sought support for her husband without looking down on us; we will surprise her with our votes massively, she boasted.
The rally didn’t end until she further met with Market Women in Ikenne, venue was the town hall of Ikenne.
